Vote Jed Fisher for Mayor of Marshfield MO
Vote Jed Fisher for Mayor of Marshfield MO
Facing his disabilities and the stigmas that come with them, Jed Fisher has had to overcome a lot in his life. Now he is ready to use everything he's learned to serve you as mayor.
Jed is a man of the community, and as mayor he will work hard to make his presence felt in your neighborhood. Between the Boy Scouts of America, his time in the church, and his work in charity, Jed has spent all his life serving the people.
After years of leading teams of nurses, organizing recovery programs, and working on the charitable venture, Arzee Zebra, Jed Fisher is now running for the position of Mayor of Marshfield, Missouri.
Jed Fisher began his first job at his father's landscaping company at the ripe old age of 11. For the next 8 years Jed would spend his days working long hard hours, learning his father’s trade, and building his bullet-proof work ethic. Despite the early mornings, late evenings, and hours spent at school, Jed was able to obtain the rank of eagle scout within the Boy Scouts of America at the outstanding age of 15.
After finishing high school, Jed went on to occupy his early twenties with his work at Young Chevrolet as a porter. During this time, Jed would also spend 2 years serving as part of a humanitarian mission, finishing his tenure with them at the position of district leader. Inspired by his time serving the needs of others, Jed would go on to obtain medical certifications and begin to climb his way up through the ranks, working for various companies as an instructor, a team lead, and as a supervisor. By his late twenties, Jed was directly responsible for the coordination of almost ~150 medical personnel, as well as teaching nurse trainees what they needed to know to comply with modern medical standards. Once again he was working long hard hours, this time to serve his community and make a difference, but there was another reason for all of Jed’s hard work. Jed had been diagnosed with a degenerative muscle and bone disease that would see him wheelchair bound before the age of 30.
This grim diagnosis spurred Jed into action. He would use his iron-clad work ethic to build a life (and a piggy bank) for himself that might withstand the painful future this disease had promised him. Unfortunately, this renewed approach to his career would see him in a hospital bed sooner, rather than later. A doctor told him that if he wanted to live past 50, he’d move to a small town, and take a low stress job to support himself. The transition was hard; Jed had to leave behind the life he worked so hard to build, and to start again somewhere new. He had to live smart, cut his expenses, save as much as he could, and try his hardest to find success despite the many obstacles in his way. Eventually his muscle tissue began to give way, and he was forced onto disability.
But even then, Jed didn’t let life pass him by; he realized that even though his body had begun to fail him, his mind was still sharp as a tack. He got back into his work as a humanitarian and started working with addicts and alcoholics on overcoming their vices. Following this path, Jed worked to help start recovery programs in three different states, and this was just the start. Jed would spend the next 23 years of his life serving the people of Missouri, building computers for the disabled, housing the homeless, and at times, even opening his own home for the needy. He worked to make a difference in the lives of everyone who needed him, for no other reasons than it being the right thing to do, and because he could.
Now Jed is looking to put his many skills to grander tasks still. As Mayor of Marshfield, Jed hopes to help even more people, and to find even bigger and better ways he might be able to support his community. A vote for Jed Fisher is truly a vote for the people of Marshfield.
"Jed is our neighborhood watch, I feel so much safer in our neighborhood knowing Jed is watching out for us. He truly cares for his neighbors. What makes Jed is helping others. He truly is a gift to our community. That is why I am voting Jed Fisher for Mayor of Marshfield.
" Yes I know Jed FIsher and his wife, they are great neighbors and they help out anyone that needs it if they can and if they can't they go to extreme measures to help by contacting others to see what they can come up with and I'd be proud to call him my mayor."
